Description
Well, better late than never!
The Hudson Valley finally received it's first substantial snow fall, and I was not about to miss it!
Headed out a few minutes before nine, and wrapped up a few minutes before 1pm.
After shooting at the Erie Station/Heritage Trail in Chester, then snapped a few images of just the Heritage Trail, headed to Laroe Road to a favorite water feature spot (1st time back there in winter since 2014!), then down the road to Open Space Institute’s Highlands Trail/Goosepond Mountain South SP,where I captured this image that exemplifies the beautiful starkness of winter solitude. Nothing beats a landscape that is adorned with freshly fallen snow.
About the title: In poetry, the repetition of the sound of a vowel or diphthong in non-rhyming stressed syllables near enough to each other for the echo to be discernible (e.g., penitence, reticence ). "The use of assonance throughout the poem creates the sound of despair".
As it would pertain to this photo, the never ending visual of a snow covered forest might give some people a sense of loneliness or helplessness. In my case, I found this private moment quite exhilarating!
I am honored to be able to offer my photography of the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York and beyond for all of your purchasing considerations.
All of my photographs are available as prints, wall art, home decor, apparel, weekend bags, etc and are NOW offered with a canvas border, title, electronic signature and the year it was taken in 'The Signature Series Gallery'. You may continue to buy my photographs as they have always been available prior in all of my other galleries as well.
