Description
My time spent out at Barton Orchards was divided between sweeping wide-angle landscape captures and more detailed/macro work as seen here.
This beautiful crimson and gold sunflower was just one of many varieties found in the expansive sunflower field.
The background which is blurred due to a shallow DOF (depth of field) allows the sunflower to jump right at the viewer!
The title: I used the word “edge” in rehearsals during my band director days to let students know that we were going to pick it up from the top. You may notice the insect on the edge of the top flower petal .
Note: Barton Orchards had a catastrophic fire @ a week ago. No one was injured, but a few of the buildings were completely destroyed. If you’re out that way, please stop by to support their family own business as they rebuild.
