My first visit to the extremely photogenic Monksville Reservoir, located in the Long Pond Ironworks State Park in New Jersey.

The glowing dead stumps frozen in time dance in front of the cold blue hue trees in the background.

The reservoir was frozen solid, allowing one to walk about the ice to photograph the primordial landscape.
