Artist's Description
This is my third interpretation of the beautiful and magical landscape found on the property of the "Winter Clove Inn".
After Tropical Storm Isaias dropped anywhere from 2-6 inches of rain in New York, I planned on finally going up to the Northern Catskills to photograph this picturesque landscape.
Artist Falls is located on the property of the "Winter Clove Inn", in the town of Round Top.
After making contact with the owners to get an update on the water flow (I had to travel 80+ miles one way) to make sure that my journey was not for naught, I was actually greeted with "too much" water, so much so, that I could not cross over the brook (even with my knee-high waders on) to capture the image that one constantly sees on the Internet.
That said, I much prefer to get a different perspective with my photos, and decided to stay on the left side of the covered bridge, and use the interesting root structure as my foreground.
