Description
As always is the case, a photograph's perspective can change drastically by simply moving left, right, forward or backward. In the case of this image, the latest from the series of photographs shot from the Weehawken, NJ waterfront, I probably moved 20 yards to my left during the blue hour and came away with some might say, an ominous gothic photograph.
I write this as I feel strongly about the reflections that seem to take on a "threatening" presence of the gray blue color of the sky and the Hudson River below. They are quite magical at the same time, tying in the entire capture into a unifying composition.
About the title: Musically speaking; contrapuntal is an independent improvised or composed melodies played against each other.... as it pertains to this photo, the skyscrapers and their reflections do just that.
I am honored to be able to offer my photography of the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York and beyond for all of your purchasing considerations.
All of my photographs are available as prints, wall art, home decor, apparel, weekend bags, etc and are NOW offered with a canvas border, title, electronic signature and the year it was taken in 'The Signature Series Gallery'. You may continue to buy my photographs as they have always been available prior in all of my other galleries as well.
