It was a classic mid-October morning with a gorgeous sky, soft filtered light, foliage near peak, hardly a breeze and very few people in the park. Needless to say, it was a Photographer's Nirvana.

My fifth stop was on top of the cliffs that look over Lake Minnewaska.

As the Golden Hour was just about over, I was able to capture the far shoreline ablaze in magnificent October color, as well as the fiery red tones of the wild blueberry patch below my feet. The long shadows cast by the various pitch pines complete the story.
