Description
I wasn't planning on getting up early (4:00am) to capture this photo, but for whatever reason, I woke up fully rested and rearing to go. So, instead of trying to fall back to sleep, I made some coffee, drank it, and went out shooting.
We had another major rain event overnight,so the conditions were ripe for some ethereal images, this being one of them.
This corn field is located off "Pumpkin Swamp Road" (my favorite all-time name for a road), and it's located in the town of Florida, NY in the heart of the Scenic Black Dirt Region; home to some of the most fertile dirt found on the planet. This was the second of three locations I eventually photographed that morning.
The sun has just risen maybe 5-7 minutes before I photographed this scene, and I waited patiently for it to find an opening in the mist/fog and clouds so that it's golden rays lit up the corn stalks in front of me. Talk about golden light!
Two images were stitched to create this beautiful panoramic photograph.
I am honored to be able to offer my photography of the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York and beyond for all of your purchasing considerations.
All of my photographs are available as prints, wall art, home decor, apparel, weekend bags, etc and are NOW offered with a canvas border, title, electronic signature and the year it was taken in 'The Signature Series Gallery'. You may continue to buy my photographs as they have always been available prior in all of my other galleries as well.
