Description
After a rather successful photo jaunt at a local river and farm, I decided to pull over to see if I could stumble upon something worth capturing (plus I had to stretch me legs). This area is known as the Scenic Black Dirt Region aka,"The Drowned Lands" and it is close to my home. It's a potpourri of landscape photography gold; I take advantage of it any chance I get.
The sun had already said goodbye, as it gently lit up the blue hour sky above me. I found this random cabbage patch begging to be photographed, so I obliged! It served as a perfect foil to bring the viewers eyes directly into the photograph.
About the title: As has been my practice for awhile now, I incorporate musical terminology into my titles, since music was my life for over fifty years.
A cantata is a vocal composition with an instrumental accompaniment, typically in several movements, often involving a choir. In this case, as it applies to this image, the several movements would be the natural elements of earth and sky working in harmonious glory.
I am honored to be able to offer my photography of the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York and beyond for all of your purchasing considerations.
All of my photographs are available as prints, wall art, home decor, apparel, weekend bags, etc and are NOW offered with a canvas border, title, electronic signature and the year it was taken in 'The Signature Series Gallery'. You may continue to buy my photographs as they have always been available prior in all of my other galleries as well.
